Tiempo verbal futuro.

En inglés hay dos formas de expresar acciones que tendrán lugar en el futuro. Una es con el uso del verbo "to be + going to" y la otra es con el uso del verbo auxiliar "will".

Verbo "to be" + "going to":

·         I am going to call my mother = yo voy a llamar a mi mamá.

·         He is going to go to the pharmacy = él va a ir a la farmacia.

·         They are going to buy something to eat = ellos van a comprar algo de comer.

"Will":

·         I will call you later = yo te voy a llamar más tarde.

·         She will go to the pharmacy tonight = ella va a ir a la farmacia esta noche.

·         They will buy something to eat = ellos van a comprar algo de comer.

Tiempo Verbal Futuro: BE GOING TO y WILL

Existe una diferencia entre estas dos formas de expresar el futuro. Generalmente "to be + going to"  se usa para acciones que van a suceder muy pronto o para expresar un plan que se tiene. "Will" se usa para expresar una promesa, una predicción o algo que se quiere hacer en el futuro.

"Going to":

El tiempo futuro con "going to" se usa más comúnmente en el lenguaje hablado cuando se quiere hacer referencia al futuro inmediato, es decir, a algo que está por ocurrir.

Ejemplos:

·         She is going to pay with a credit card = Ella va a pagar con una tarjeta de crédito (algo que está por ocurrir).

·         I am going to drop off my prescription over there = voy a dejar mi prescripción médica allá.

También se emplea para hablar de intenciones o planes para hacer algo:

Ejemplo:

·         I’m going to learn English = voy a aprender inglés.

Se forma con el verbo"to be" conjugado para la persona correspondiente, seguido de "going to" y el verbo base.

"To be" + "going to" + verbo:

·         I am going to pay = yo voy a pagar.

·         You are going to pay = tú vas a pagar.

·         He is going to pay = él va a pagar.

·         She is going to pay = ella va a pagar.

·         It is going to pay = eso va a pagar.

·         We are going to pay = nosotros vamos a pagar.

·         You are going to pay = ustedes van a pagar.

·         They are going to pay = ellos/ellas van a pagar.

"Will": 

El futuro con "will" se utiliza para hablar de decisiones que se toman mientras se habla:

Ejemplos:

·         I need to get my medicine. I will go to the pharmacy tonight.
Necesito comprar mi medicina. Iré a la farmacia esta noche.

·         I need some cash. I will pay with my debit card and ask for cash back.
Necesito algo de efectivo. Pagaré con mi tarjeta débito y pediré efectivo de vuelta.

También es usado para decir predicciones de carácter general:

Ejemplos:

·         I’m sure it will rain tomorrow.
Estoy seguro de que va a llovermañana.

·         Javier usma will win the election.
Javier usma  va a ganar las elecciones.

Se forma con el verbo "will" + verbo:

·         I will pay later.

·         You will pay later.

·         He will pay later.

·         She will pay later.

·         It will pay later.

·         We will pay later.

·         You will pay later.

·         They will pay later.

¡Impotante!

"will" es un verbo modal (o auxiliar) que se utiliza para formar el futuro.

"will" siempre debe ir acompañado de otro verbo para formar el futuro.

En el tiempo futuro simple vamos a necesitar de un auxiliar WILL para poder conjugar nuestras acciones.

Otra forma de contestar en forma afirmativa, es anteponer la palabra YES (si):

Yes, I will be                                      Yes, it will be

Yes, you will be                                 Yes, we will be
Yes, he will be                                   Yes, you will be
Yes, she will be                                 Yes, they will be.

Y para responder en forma negativa anteponemos la palabra NO:

No, I will not be                                   No, it will not be
No, you will not be                              No, we will not be
No, he will not be                                No, you will not be
No, she will not be                              No, they will not be

Contracciones para este verbo.

Ahora veamos la estructura de los otros verbos. 

FUTURO SIMPLE

Future tense- Tiempo Futuro.El tiempo Futuro Simple se emplea justamente para hablar de acciones que se realizarán en el futuro.

Afirmativa: Sujeto + aux will + Verbo en presente simple + Complemento

 Ejemplo: I will read my book / He will read his book.

               Yo leeré mi libro / Él leerá su libro.

Para hacer una respuesta corta en forma afirmativa utilizamos: Yes + coma + sujeto + aux. will + aux. do.
Ejemplo: Yes, I will do  /  Yes, she will do.
                  Si, lo haré / Si, ella lo hará.

Y si lo hacemos completa quedaría:
Yes + coma + sujeto + aux. will + verbo en presente simple + complemento.
Ejemplo: Yes, I will read the book   /  Yes, he will read the book
                  Si, yo leere el libro.       / Si, él leera el libro.

Interrogativa: Will + Sujeto + Verbo en presente simple + Complemento

Ejemplo: Will you read the book? / Will he read the book?

               ¿Leerás tú el libro?           / ¿Leerá él el libro?

Negativa: Sujeto + will + not + verbo en presente simple.

Ejemplo: I will not read the book / He will not read the book

                Yo no leeré el libro      / Él no leerá el libro.

Para dar la respuesta corta en negativo lo hacemos de la siguiente forma: No + coma + sujeto + won't.
Ejemplo: No, I won't  /   No, she won't
               No, no lo haré /  No, ella no lo hará.

Y si lo hacemos completa quedaría:
No + coma + sujeto + won’t + verbo en pasado simple + complemento.
Ejemplo: No, I won’t read the book   /  No, he won´t read the book
                  No, yo no leeré el libro.       / No, él no leerá el libro.
